It seems like ARD is disabled by default?

Boy, do I sound like a dork. Good thing I don’t podcast.
I actually do already use AdBlock Plus! And it blocks a lot of stuff, but I think the ads are getting smarter or perhaps they’re formatting them differently now or something because I still get a lot of junk, especially flash ads lately. I may have to manually start blocking adservers for pages that I visit frequently…
My two hates lately are;
The New York Times website that forces you to sit through 20-30 second ad before it will display the webpage link that you clicked on.
Techmeme that has more than 1/3rd of their pages covered in ads. And they’re constantly Twittering what look like interesting links and when you click on them you get 5-10 lines of text and the rest of the page is chocked fulla ads!
Just stop it! Sheesh!

Im currently on the eee which is connected up to my 17″ monitor. A little slow, but bareable. I sold my old PC (I put Vista SP1 on it, an obvious reason to sell it
Jus to let you know I AM up and running at the moment, as far away as possible from that thing they call “vista”.
Oh, and if I do dissapear it’s because the police have captured me for attempting to import lasers. Posted not last monday, but the monday before and I have still not got em! And this bloody new law is in July 1 (Yesterday!!!) Wat a waste of $38. Atlleast i still have one

@Doug I’m not sure that Dave and Keith appreciate being referred to as “ladies”…

I relaised I normally call you “guys” meaning group (not male).
Therefore I am now the more politcally correct all import Doug!
Poor Cait!

btw – NoScript is really nice for making firefox even faster
July 3rd, 2008 at 11:26 pm
@Doug… we did try and warn you about the laser thing
And I know what you mean about the guy and girl thing
@Eric Yeah that would make sense since a lot of a web site can be script and other “crap” loading up that has not got a lot to do with actual content on the page. But these days it is getting harder to actually “see” the content without scripts running. In actual fact for me to run NoScript would even be counter productive because of the large number of sites that I review. But Great suggestion all the same.
@Herne no more a dork than I sound

PasteBin.com – Better than TinyPaste, as it supports code highlighting and versioning!
LOVE the GGP.

ewps… Did I say nutjob? wow! I get crazy late at night. Must have been the heatwave. I plan to watch a .NET on S60 seminar the 10th and maybe pickup the iphone 3G on the 11th. Maybe I’ll change my mind about adobe and MS.
July 4th, 2008 at 9:17 pm
@theallimportant.doug for the record, you can call us “guys”, I don’t mind. Aussies use the word “guys” much more loosely (like most of our slang) than some countries. I won’t be offended, promise

@Mr B Thanks for the tip and the accolades! Thanks mate – but without you guys it would not be half as fun!
