Testing… Testing 123 Blog: check RSS: FAIL
Yes we are still here, and here is the latest on the server situation. Basically the blogs have been migrated to the new servers and they are sort of working. There is still work to do and things to tweak however.
The blog is working as you can see, we were even going to have a show out this week. But late last week we found a major problem. It would appear that our RSS feed is dead. That means that anything we post here is not getting to our loyal listeners. You won’t get this post unless you visit the blog.
This also means that the show won’t make it to iTunes or peoples RSS readers. So there is not much point producing a heap of material that few people will get to hear. We want everything to be right and working.
The tech team is working on the problem and that is as much as I know right now. As Cam says in the latest from the TPN blog, there are going to be bugs with the new servers and it will take a bit longer to sort them out fully. Please be patient and rest assured that we have not abandoned you.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank all listeners that have dropped us a comment or email, tweet to say hello and where the heck are ya? Thanks, we appreciate the support and we are looking forward to be back podcasting and blogging more regularly soon.

How about a 5 minute mini for the addicts that still check the blog?
I’ve clean up a bit of my Deutsche Welle podcasts from the spring so it’s not entirely a bad thing.

Wow awesome, great to hear that we have some functionality in the feed department.
I did get really excited that everything was sorted and working. BUT it would appear that we still have a feed problem in iTunes - the last show that we did still have not made it through to there.
Most of our audience listens to the show via iTunes, so this is pretty significant, so at least we are getting somewhere but we really have to get that fixed.
Thanks for the shout out that things are almost working again.

I don’t listen through iTunes!! I Use the the direct download link(Some shows here aint got it, so I don’t listen to em!) and listen to it as I fall off to sleep at night on my iPod Touch (The only reason I bought it!!)
I thought you guys had fallen asleep untill Tim let me know the other day you were still there…!!

…hmm..not to sure what to make of that comment Dave…
Maybe you were reffering to the “some shows don’t have the direct link for the download” I was reffering to other podcasts on TPN….
Or the fall asleep part, maybe? I normally listen to it in sections so I do hear it all(Haven’t got time through out the day, and I hate itunes when i have 2 iPods…its really bugs me)
Or just the tone of the comment?

@Doug gotta tell ya it sounded like you use the direct download cause it is not worth subscribing to us… so I was being sarcastic… sounded like we are hot and cold.
If that is not the case then petition accepted… if we rock all the better
