The Global Geek Podcast #82 :: Special Edition: Interview with Loic Le Meur
Welcome to the GGP for another week. I have had a busy week and thrown myself into this weeks show. That was a lame excuse for the lack of blogging.
In this episode I interview Loic Le Meur, the founder and CEO of seesmic. It was a fantastic interview about seesmic, video, the evolution of a start-up, marketing and everything else you might expect.
Please enjoy the GGP Number 82!

Nice going, Dave!
I think you need more Canadian content, though…
March 29th, 2008 at 3:44 pm
Gee thanks Herne, we do have a Canadian on the show you know!
March 30th, 2008 at 7:23 am
I know you have a Canadian on the show, Dave. Even though you keep him up to all hours of the night and keep him sleep deprived, Keith does a pretty good job IMO. The Lab Rat only represents the western part of Canada, though–How can 2 Aussies, 1 Canadian, and an occasional crazy Belgian constitute “global” geeks anyway?
Regarding Seesmic though, I’ve always said that I have the perfect face for radio. I can’t imagine making videos of myself and posting them on the web. I’m still trying to decide if I want to post audio files on the Net.

Well we have the Aussies, the Canadian, the Belgian. This week we had a Frenchman based in the US!!

I haven’t listened to the show yet, but i’m commenting just to piss you off and to support poor old doug. I cant believe what you said in the previous show ! MOI ? masturbating in a dark serverroom with lastFm in the background ?? ? That is totally out of line. ……. (the lights where ON and it was Itunes)

Face for radio ? Hern , admit it : you have to take something for your stomach every time you look in the mirror right ?
ps : i am not “occasionally crazy” .. its more of a permanent thing.

I have listended (clap here)
I also have supporters now I see!
Anyway, good, yet short, show. Definitely and interesting guy to talk to. I have an acocunt with seesmic and haven’t used it at all. But ill try to soon!

Doug, its our duty to rant and complain BEFORE we listen to the show. That way we can show we are so involved with the show that we care to comment even before we have heared the finished product. I want to take it one step further and start commenting about shows that haven’t even been produced yet.
I have a serious complaint about show 86 : What dave says 23 minutes into the show just proves he’s talking out of his arse .. and that explains his bad breath.

@Knightwise If by “take something for your stomach” you mean “have another pint of Blackthorn” then… possibly!
Down with pre-ranting about the show!

Great show guys, seesmic looks great and will definately be checking it out.

@Carey thanks for listening and dropping a comment

Hey Dave, listened to the show last night and wanted to say you did an excellent job flying solo. Listening to the Seesmic guy speak, I know why there is just a passionate tight following for that service right now. We have all of these web 2.0 nobodies showing up on the radar but seesmic seems different. If I weren’t so keen on being on a video web cam, I might participate within this seesmic stuff as I’d love to develop a WordPress Seesmic group as I think that would be pretty cool.
At any rate, keep up the good work TGGP.
