Which Company to Acquire Digg?

After I lost a completed post on the blog I gave up trying. Then I thought I might utilize a new’ish service called seesmic to “post”.

The reason is 2 fold. 1. To get the post on the blog and 2. To try and stimulate some tech discussions on seesmic.

Seesmic in very basic terms is for video what twitter is for text. The Lab Rat put it best when he said something like “quick and dirty blog posting”… it is video twitter. It is in alpha development and invite only. Since I am starting to experiement with video I thought this might be a fun and interesting way to post to the blog.

What do you think? Do you want more of the GGP crew using video to present you with tech news and reviews?

For those that are wondering the moving object over my right shoulder is the cat.

Dave! Get a haircut, man! :)

Digg is pretty dead. Digg, like many “social networking” sites is all a popularity contest anyway. Sure, I watch the Diggnation podcast on the off chance that they’ll do something interesting (and it is amusing), but I don’t participate in Digg.

Digg’s dead, MySpace is dead, Facebook is dead, SecondLife is dead… Twitter will be soon because it’s too difficult to follow all the nonsense and there’s no way to group out conversations.

What will be the new “new” thing to do? I don’t know, but I do know that I’m getting a bit tired of the Internet these days… it’s all the same rubbish over and over with different flashy banner ads.

Loved the seesmic post. Great idea. Leave the hair - make the most of it while you have it!

Should we be bothered? It is like choosing between Diggle vs. digg.live.com. To me, it will be the same pointless website with a new logo :).

Love the video. As a lot of the youth culture say today ‘am I bothered’ about Digg, and the answer to that is nope….
