Signed! Enjoyed the show, again. Hope cait’s sinuses get better. wow. talk about a freaking pr0n obsession! Thought I was bad. Speaking of P2P… streaming… sounds like joost? I gave up on joost pretty fast based on the lack of content. I’ve now clocked more time on hulu. My only gripe with Mac OS X [ tiger ] is audio. I have to pause whatever I’m listening to to plugin my grado cans or vice versa. I am used to putting the volume all the way down before I plug or unplug anything. Not so hot. Not seamless at all. ps - any listeners on facebook feel free to add me. I might actually login more than once a month and I have no problem throwing much of my life and angst on the intarwebs.

I’m dealing with a bit of a sinus cold right now, so I don’t have my usual extensive comments ready. But I’ll get you for that “blog slut” comment, don’t you worry! And I’m also concerned about Cait’s prOn addiction.
February 27th, 2008 at 10:17 am
@Herne - what addiction?
She’s not into the subject because she doesn’t have a defined opinion in this matter as all interested people in this matter do. More later :).
Cheers for clearing the issue with iTunes. The bottom line is that we are all n00bs in the eyes of Apple. Some time ago I thought that Windows was very primitive in not giving us the option of booting into expert mode without the dog or wizard that helps you search… (I don’t mean safe mode where you can’t do anything).
Kate, as for the HD porn. I see you guys have no credibility in this area and it saddens me every time.
HD porn is the best thing ever if it wasn’t why would we have zillions of web services adverting themselves with ‘HD’ in the title?
If you’re gonna watch it, it had better look as real as possible. I know, I’ve seen all versions possible.
The bottom line is that I’m all in favour of the most crisp and clear video that’s possible. No matter whether it’s streaming, .wmv or HD-DVD. Even if 20 minutes weighs more on your hard drive than some people’s monthly bandwidth allowance :).
I hope this issue is clarified for you.
Good luck at the hospital!

I have absolutely no idea whose cricket pitch that is:D
Haha no no it’s mine! Sadly its going in the next day or two, rent runs out and can’t be bothered paying again (not playing SL enough).
Anyway gooooods show!

@Eric thanks for listening and the well wishes. The worst part is that it is Cait’s go on scrabble
@Herne we are not sure what the fascination is either. What no essay?
@Raf thanks for clearing that up. What would we do without you. Like the idea of expert mode for XP.
February 27th, 2008 at 10:24 pm
@Dave
Without me you would have more time by reading fewer boring comments :).
I’m still puzzled at the number of comments. Looks like you probably have no more than 8 listeners. I see only 5 different people commenting each episode. Or maybe you just receive 500 emails to feedback@ and no one bothers writing in here.
Yeah, I guess that must it!

Great show gang,hope all goes well for the op Cait
February 28th, 2008 at 4:44 pm
@Raf gee thanks mate, with friends like you… But seriously what you see here is typical. A core group of regular commenter’s. But it would also be so much better if more of our listeners were involved. So we have to be nice to new ppl!
We are gradually getting more and more emails and comments from ppl but it takes time to realize that we don’t bite
Oh and I had someone add me to their contact list on Skype which is cool - so do that if you wish - just tell me who you are.
So if you have not dropped a comment before then please do - I have to keep the resident monkeys entertained.

@Raf
Dont forget about me, that makes six.
I dont have much to add, im too busy, but im still laughing at the “dip me in honey and throw me to the ….” comment by dave a few weeks back.
February 29th, 2008 at 3:41 pm
and…
Cait all the best with your surgery. I had a broken nose fixed a few years back because I could not breath properly.
It didn’t go too well but dont worry, im sure you wont get my run of luck.

WTF is going on with your RSS feeds?
4 weeks ago I was using Google Reader and the link didn’t work in that. I’ve now changed over to FeedDemon and find the podcast turning up tonight, even though it appears to have been posted 3 days ago on 26 Feb. I check my RSS feeds each day.
I’m only pissed off because I could have been listening to this podcast instead of TWIT which is starting to become like an Oprah show, very sycophantic.
At least Global Geeks are informative about what is going on in cyberspace and IT in general. Keep up the good work.
PS. I haven’t listened to this show yet - maybe tomorrow when I take the dog for a walk. I usually listen to podcasts on my way to work.
February 29th, 2008 at 9:09 pm
@Matt I don’t know mate. But what I can tell you is that our RSS feed does have it’s issues, which I am powerless to change. However, these issues are not of the nature that you describe.
I can tell you this: I am subscribed to our RSS feed in FeedDemon and I got it a little later than usual this week. I am also subscribed in iTunes and I got it the day that it came out. The FD issue is most likely nothing to do with our RSS feed - rather with NewsGator. The way that FD works is that NewsGator tracks your feeds and basically gives you an accumulated update from one server - it’s server. Sometimes it is a little borky - although in my 2 years using it this is rare.
Other than that as far as I know the RSS feed while sensitive about it’s personality works ok.
Oh and I agree with your about twit… I can only listen to so much of Leo before I want to puke.
Thanks for persevering and listening to the show!
BTW we are hoping that very soon there are going to be some major changes with the architecture and performance of the blog and also the RSS feed and all the other weirdness that goes on, so stay with us
