Seems that my thoughts on the Microsoft Yahoo! bid were not lost on the users over at Flickr. I myself use Flickr and I would be dreading what Microsoft would do to Flickr. I am not alone.

Users on Flickr have created a group called “MICROSOFT: KEEP YOUR EVlL GRUBBY HANDS OFF OF OUR FLICKR“. The images are all in the vain of the title. Basically everything you could think of that would spell the demise of Flickr as we know it. Images, mostly doctored up dishing Microsoft are for the most part amusing.

Most notably as far as the point that I was making is this image portraying exactly what I think might happen and that is the defacing of Flickr in order to accommodate the Microsoft billboard:

Worth a look. However the collective sigh of relief from the Flickr crew might be a little preemptive in my opinion because I don’t think this has not played out just yet. Make sure you listen to the weeks up and coming show to get all the latest news and opinions on the deal!
