Beta Map For 2008
Information Architects Japan has released their 2008 Web Trends Map. This map represents 300 of the most influential and successful websites.
The map itself resembles a typical train map that would be found within the greater Tokyo-area. This version features an increased font size for easier reading. The map contains some fan favorites such as Pandora, SecondLife and Stumbleupon. As for the movers and shakers, you can’t have a web trend map without the name Scobleizer attached to it.
As of this writing, the map can be downloaded and viewed as a giant A3 PDF file or you can check out the browser friendly version which has clickable links. On the horizon, the map will be released as a 1600X1024, 1440X900 and 1024X768 wallpaper. Also, if you feel the need to have one of these trend maps in your room, you can purchase a poster for about $50.00.
We will be sending the map out to be printed as soon as we have it finalized. In the meantime, we will be taking orders for the A0 poster. These large and beautiful posters are (probably, we don’t know the printing cost yet) $50 US each, plus shipping($5). With the downloadable A3 size you get a nice table mat to eat dinner on, but with the A0 poster—printed for optimal quality and effect—you get the poster everyone will be talking about in a size large enough for your wall. If you’re interested in owning one, place your order now (comment or mail is fine). We will only be printing 1,000 of them, so order yours while supplies last!
You have 5 days left to order!
