Cory Doctorow Video
This week on the show we talked about Cory Doctorow as Michael attended the event. This is just a quick post to let you know that Cait; listener and long time supporter of The GGP also attended the event and covered it on her blog.
Please check out Cait’s coverage and video of the debate. Although she made some discoveries of the event that make it not the debate we first thought. This also explains Michael’s impressions of the “debate” between Charles Firth and Cory.
I am not pasting the videos here because I would rather you visit Cait’s Blog for the coverage.
Cait and Michael did a great job of twittering the event also. Remember if you attend such an event to let us know in advance so that we can follow your tweets! Plus I will make the effort to post the upcoming event here. No Knightwise, that does not mean that we want to know when you take a dump

I second Dave’s comment.
BUT - I just used Firefox to go to GGP mainpage - and - Guess What?!! Socket Shield gave me a very strong “Risky” result. “Risky, This page contains the potential for active threat delivery…. Unknown site owner. Domain: globalgeekodcast.com. IP: 64.202.189.170″ I won this protection software from you guys! Better check it out.

The explanation for the result is actually quite easy. The domain globalgeekpodcast.com is a redirect. The actual address of our homepage is globalgeek.thepodcastnetwork.com
So with the redirect address - there is no information in the page regarding globalgeekpodcast.com because the site doesn’t really exist.
You’ll notice that the true address (I think) gives you Cameron Reilly as the site owner.
Make sense?

Maybe it were Dave’s smelly armpits that set of the alert on socketshield ?
