The Global Geek Podcast #060 :: Then There Were Three
Here is this weeks GGP! This is show number 60 and we have a special guest so please jump on board and celebrate with us. This weeks show is a longish one, nothing I could do about that because it is all really, really good and I could not cut it. Trust me it will be worth it!
This week in Tech the Skype crash of 2007, Paramount make a move on High Def formats and what to do with that old vibrator… no kidding…
We have something for Linux geeks in applications as well as something to delete files forever and a top little app to turn those .mp3’s into audio books for your iPod.
After the Mac Lab report we have a site that offers a one click download solution for video, instant video chat and a page that will ruin your day.
All that and more including your feedback a swag of updates on this week’s GGP!

Just listened to the GGP from the moon but there is no Internet out here so I did have to send KW back to earth to get it. loved the show as always. vconvert.net is a vary nice site going to use it to convert some videos for my PSP and the ASCII wars on Skye was fun but I don’t think ASCII will work in a IRC chat room
and I hope HD-DVD wins the HD war

@Tim .. is that a Bus powered or a steam powered soundcard you had ?
August 29th, 2007 at 9:46 pm
TIMMY!!!!!!
Am I the only one that thinks Timmy should give up membership to the worldwide geek club for not knowing who Cory was….sheesh mate your credibility is shot
Apart from that was an enjoyable show as usual. KW is getting nuttier than a fruitcake lately bu as long as he stays on dark side of the moon we are somewhat safe.
August 30th, 2007 at 11:31 am
Hey leave Tim alone, I had to google Cory.
-10 geek points for me.
August 30th, 2007 at 2:07 pm
Ok anyone who didn’t know who Cory was needs to give up 10 geek points.
August 30th, 2007 at 2:26 pm
I knew he was from the EFF (10 geek points for me)
August 30th, 2007 at 2:27 pm
@hugh … You can always sell “steely dan” to some oil rig in the north sea. They can always use an extra drill.
August 30th, 2007 at 2:28 pm
@hugh .. what exactly DO you do with your steely dan.. erm .. never mind. I somehow don’t want to know.
August 30th, 2007 at 5:01 pm
lol
Bad thoughts in my head trying to work out what steely dan KW was talking about.
And who was it that said KW was getting nuttier than a fruitcake.
August 30th, 2007 at 6:45 pm
its easy to be nuttier the fruitcake. Its a problem when you are nuttier then a peacan pie !
