You might also try a few of the shopping places like MWave (www.mwave.com), NewEgg (www.newegg.com), Tiger Direct (www.tigerdirect.com), CompUSA (www.compusa.com), eWiz (www.ewiz.com), Best Buy (www.bestbuy.com) and Circuit City (www.circuitcity.com) although the last two would probably be tough to land.

You also might want to check out the pricing sites like PriceWatch (www.pricewatch.com). There was another one that I was thinking of, but I can’t remember it’s name.

If you want to go for some big ones, you could also try some of the hardware companies like PNY, ASUS, Intel and others like that.

Just some ideas.

I’d like to see gadgets and gadget accessory advertising. Gadget bags, like stuff from rushfaster.com.au (where you can choose a bag based on the dimensions of your laptop) or ifrogz iPod skins.

Your listeners tend to be early adopters and fairly tech savvy, so items they’re likely to purchase are your best bet.

Smartphones and PDAs, like stuff from ow.com.au or even eBay.
Locally there’s latestbuy.com.au which carries some ThinkGeek like items.

Some great suggestions there Jeff.

We have actually already approached ThinkGeek and they have knocked us back, saying something along the lines that they are not doing the kind of sponsorship that we were wanting.

Tim loves Jinx (I think) that is a great suggestion.

Audible is basically downloadable audio books, is that something our listeners would want – bearing in mind that most are probably into torrents… I will leave the rest to you imagination. But I could be wrong. Anyone?

We have actually had an offer from at least one website that wants to work with us that is a new web 2.0 company. The only thing here is that these start-ups are usually running on a shoe-string budget and don’t have that much to splash around. BUT they might be willing to get into some sort of listener deal or giveaway.

We also have another company that we are very excited about and we are working on a deal with them.

I’d like to see you guys use Thinkgeek as a possible vendor. Everything they have is golden. Maybe sponsored blog reviews could be an option? Theres always adsense, text link ads and the like.

Maybe for apparel, you could look into http://www.jinx.com/ I’m pretty sure you guys have mentioned them on the show before, now that I think about it.

Then theres audible.com which seems to be making the rounds on multiple podcasts as of late.

Hmm are there any web 2.0 sites and services willing to pay for audio based advertising?
