Mind Control is a Reality
Ok, not the way you might think. But this was so damn cool I had to wack it on the blog. Imagine being able to control electronic devices with nothing but your mind? Great, I can start the coffee in the morning without getting out of bed…
Seriously though this is not that new but in this form it is. Previously scientists have embeded chips and sensors into peoples brains and muscles. In doing so they are taking advantage of the fact that all the commands that our brain issues are with the use of very small electrical impulses. Using these impulses implants can be used to complete electrical circuits. This usually results in an on or off status.
Now watch the video, this is something different and provides a level of control and precision that we have not seen in such a consumable way. The application of such technology is massive, from medicine to gaming and personal computing and home electronics. Reports are that as early as next year you may start to see this in products.
See told ya, damn cool eh?
Now all I need is a way to mind control the kids…

Thats amazing. I wonder how long it will be until the technology is truly sensitive enough, and refined enough to be useful in an every day product… Looks like it would take a great deal of time and energy right now just to dial a phone number on your cell-phone from your thought-controlled blue-tooth headset.

Yeah true enough Keith, but the word on the street is next year. Not sure if we will be dialing phones or anything that useful. But maybe we will be switching on the telly and playing some basic games on a console… maybe
