For those that have listened to the show already this week you will have heard us say that the GGP Widget was updated this week. Well that has happened! The new improved, version 2.0 now has had the following features added:

• Updated RSS core
• ADDED search
• ADDED Auto Update Notification

The new search feature is a real bonus. What that means is that you can now search the Global Geek Podcast Blog directly from the desktop widget. Your default browser will then open on the search results for the term that you entered.

I find myself searching our blog all the time. There is a great resource there for you guys. We have covered heaps of both web and application based solutions, if you have a need search there and see what comes up. Or if you remember us saying something on a show but can’t remember the show or what specifically it was; you can now find it. I have specifically written descriptions for everything that we cover in the show notes to make these searches more effective.

Once again thanks to Tim King for his efforts with the GGP Widget.

Now on to the twitter news. For a start we had no idea that you guys would take to twitter as you have. Heck even Knightwise has an account! Having GGP listeners join up and add each other as friends has been a blast. I hope that this brings our little community together a bit more.
