This application seems strange in so much as it is a screensaver that you won’t want to walk away from. It displays global blogging activity in real time. It looks bloody marvellous!

I have only had time to have a look at the YouTube Video of this one, but I love the concept. From Prime Labs, Twingly Screensaver beta, runs animation using OpenGL and I am fairly sure you need the .net framework to use it. It is also fully interactive, and has a few settings to play with. Spin the globe and see what’s happening in real time in specific countries.

The site is from overseas so the main link is some language that I don’t understand. However the screensaver page does have an English version. Be sure to check out the video on the Twingly Screensaver Homepage.
It looks very cool and a great diversion. It sure is one way of catching up with a river of news, a whole world’s worth!
