Free Background, Web 2.0: But Not What You Think
I like a good background. I also like web 2.0 stuff. Add the two and I have something that I have to tell you about.
Tim King of style:guide has produced a great background with a web 2.0 theme. What I like about it is the fact that it is not what you would expect. This is typical of Tim’s designs, he has an edge and a hint towards the retro with a modern twist. Often a different style and technique that is unexpected from and left of the norm. That is probably a very crap description of his style, but for a non designer type that is as good as it gets. I guess I would call it Web 2.0 in Grunge. Feel free to comment Tim!
The background is available in 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 1024 and 1024 x 768 and is free! Cool we love free stuff.
Check out style:guide blog and podcast for his take on the world of design. Keep up the good work Tim.
Disclosure: Tim King is a personal friend of mine. However, I believe that his work speaks for itself.

Yeah you hit it right on the head, its Web 2.0 in grunge, its more of a statement that in the Web 2.0 crowd, nothing truly stands out from the rest of the pack.
