Wii: A Lawsuit Waiting to Happen?
The Wii is a bit hit, there is no doubting that. Especially when the Playstation 3 sits on the shelves. Knightwise himself owns this great gaming console, he loves it. Although he has remarked to me that he has found himself on the receiving end of some miss placed “swings”.
For those that have been living in the closet, the Wii is a new gaming console by Nintendo. It doesn’t have a controller like you might expect. The controllers are wiresless. But not only that the input for the game relies on the gamer “doing the actions” as they might in real life. Have a look at Knightwise’s Wii Boxing video for a demo.
There are worse things that can happen other than a wack in the head from a particularly enthusiastic gamer. Or the odd remote flying across the room. So why not chronicle the worse things that can happen? That’s exactly what these bloggers have done with their blog called: Wii Have a Problem… The blog covers cut fingers, broken windows, broken tellies, assault, broken everything. Measures to prevent breakages with telly mods. Self described:
“Wii have a problem” is a blog focused on bringing you the latest trend in gaming violence. That of damage caused by “window lickers” who should not be participating in activity of any form… yet own a Wii. Why? Because we’re fanboys that’s why.
Have a Wii? You can report damage and get the latest Wii news as well. The guys at this blog have done a great job of covering the “other side” of the Wii. If you have a great Wii story, why not share it with us here at The Global Geek Podcast!
Quite funny and worth the read. It does make me wonder when the first Wii lawsuit will eventuate…
