Free, Unlimited Everything File Sharing. Where’s the Catch?

Wednesday, December 13th, 2006

From all appearances FileHO! offers a service with no catches. Before you say advertising there is none of that either.
Registering is optional, making your file public is optional, speed is unlimited and so is disk space. So catch? I can’t find one. How they can afford to do it? Who knows.
With a name like FileHO! [...]

The Global Geek Podcast #030

Monday, December 11th, 2006

We have made it to 30! This was a great show and Knightwise and myself found it was a pleasure to record and produce. Just don’t ask about the FTP server…
Don’t mind the crickets, they add to the atmosphere! Listen carefully they are there all through the show. After all it is summer here in [...]

Who Said You Can Not Watch and Drive a Car?

Friday, December 8th, 2006

I think it was last week or the week before we covered just how much time the average user spends watching video on their iPod. I am not too sure Knightwise that this would have fitted the model, but Knightwise is part of the 2% of users that do watch video on their iPod. Thanks [...]

The front page lets you know the most recent words with an RSS feed. Next to each word is a link to various online dictionaries in addition to a Google search and Wikipedia search. Search for [...]

Wednesday, December 6th, 2006

Has someone wronged you or done something nice? Why not use this interesting new service called TotallyDeserved to ensure that “people get what they deserve”.
True it can be used as a payback service or a way to say thanks. I was surprised to see that on the front page all but one entry was a [...]

Web 2.0 Poster in Pixel Art

Wednesday, December 6th, 2006

Check out this great image which is available at eBoy as a poster. It has displayed in the image just about every Web2.0 company that matters. However, I am sure that there are some notable exceptions. For instance I can not find Ebay can you? Click image to link to a full sized version to [...]

The Global Geek Podcast #029

Monday, December 4th, 2006

Welcome to the one less than 30 show! We had the privilege of a special guest on the show today, Jason Van. Jason has some very insightful things to say about current web technology and software development as we cover the news and our usual segments. It is quite strange where the news will lead [...]
