From all appearances FileHO! offers a service with no catches. Before you say advertising there is none of that either.

Registering is optional, making your file public is optional, speed is unlimited and so is disk space. So catch? I can’t find one. How they can afford to do it? Who knows.

With a name like FileHO! maybe they will be around just for the holidays. Because with a business model like this one it beats me how they could be around any longer! Maybe the fact that I have not seen it before and they are new, they are yet to implement an advertising scheme or something. I just don’t know. Seems strange.

It would have been good to know about this service last Saturday as we were having major FTP problems and we tried MediaFire and the upload borked at 80% or something. It was a 101MB file though! MediaFire would be the only comparison but without the ads. If you register there is also the option of using an FTP client to manage your files.

Nice, for the time being.
