Great Beginners Guide

We often get comments from new and existing listeners that at times we need to explain what we are talking about. I have been thinking about this and how we might solve the problem. The challenge is to maintain the interest of our Internet veterans yet enable our new listeners and the not so savvy to understand what the heck we are talking about. I found an article today that might help our newer listeners and is a great guide for the rest of us on Digg.

The article that I found today is called a "Beginners Guide to Digg". Very well written and includes lots of information some of which I did not know. It covers the history of the hugely popular site. A top overview of the site including how to submit a story and "Digging" stories. In addition to the other great features of Digg such as Digg Spy, it even talks about the great discovery tools that are available in the Digg Labs.

One thing that I thought was good for readers is a list of links of where to find all the cool stuff like tools such as badges, buttons and Firefox Extensions. Sometimes these tools are hard to find on web sites (not sure why). There is also a top list of resources that will compliment your Digg experience, as well as links to tips and tricks on how to submit stories that will get to the front page.

If you have ever heard Knightwise and myself talk about the "Digg Effect" and not known what it was we were referring to, there is an explanation to be found here as well.

Highly recommended for everyone to tune up on their Digg knowledge and for beginners to understand and start using Digg!
