Web 3.0?

Before we can define Web 2.0 with any accuracy or globally acceptance, a Wiki entry has appeared for Web 3.0!

Web 3.0 is a term that has been coined to describe the Semantic Web which aims to “organize the world’s information” using a declarative ontological language such as OWL

At least the experts will have longer to argue about the definition on this one. But I have heard the tern referred to a few times. The mind boggles as to what will pop up next. I think that with Web 3.0 (whatever that might be) the boundary between the desktop and the Internet and web based applications will become very blurred. As is happening to some degree presently.

I won’t even attempt to add my own definition to 3.0 just yet!
