Blogging on a Timeline

Like the idea of blogging? Want something different? Try dandelife.

In beta of course (what isn’t). “Blogs” are represented as a timeline in the “home view” (for want of a better term). Entries are made and dated and presented on a timeline as headings that link to the entry. You can tag the posts and even subscribe via RSS to different users. I also noticed that you can integrate Flickr photos, nice touch. The ability to easily connect with others in the community is interesting. All blog’s are represented as “The story of [insert user here]’s life” which makes it sound very personal.

I guess the other application would be to chart a business start-up or the development of an application. What a great way to keep everyone informed. It would also be a great tool for the developer or business to review it’s progress in a visual format and see if they are meeting targets.

I thought it was cool that you could “wander” around the site and randomly look at people’s lives. You can also wander through tags. Very cool.

Nice looking site with a slick interface and a lot of potential. It will be interesting to see where it goes and what new ideas it comes up with for users.

Cool idea and if you like the idea of blogging but want something that looks, feels and is different then this might be for you.

    Thanks for the link love!

Glad you like the site. We’re excited to see what people demand from us next. We’ve had a few requests for business timelines, which is nice. We’ve noticed a few users have already dedicated their lives to it, as it were.

There are a lot of interesting and very well-written stories on the site too, which makes Dandelife a nice place to “waste time” I’m told.
