Odeo Now Does Videodeo’s
Another beta project from Odeo. Now you can record video and leave it on the web for all to see.
Yet another service from Odeo. These guys are playing some big cards to get to the top of the pile. All you need is a webcam and you are set. You can record video, link to it using the permalink, or embed the video on a web page using the generated code. Video can also be shared with others.
Still in beta so no pause button!
I played a few videos and they are the usual testing 123… sort of thing. Depending on the camera; the quality is average and pixelation is high and occasionally blurred but it is ok for; hello how are you type of thing. The audio is good. Perhaps people will utilize this for Video Blogging? Biz Stone has done that already!
The big question that is burning in my mind is who or what is paying for all this. With this feature Odeo is set for some serious bandwidth. Still we see no advertising on the sites that Odeo operate. Are we going to see users hooked then asked to pay? I don’t know but it is worth keeping an eye on. Does anyone know who is bank-rolling Odeo?
